these words caught my eye some time ago, and despite the fact that the words sound like something quoted from the pages of seventeen magazine (or at least what might have been written in seventeen when i was was a teenager), i simply agreed. the words ring true and call out for a modern chivalry all too easily dismissed. but somewhere along the way, such romantic notions seemed impractical, and hope waned.
the words read-
"Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, who will stay awake just to watch you sleep. Wait for the guy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in your sweats, who thinks you are just as pretty without make-up on, who holds your hand in front of his friends; wait for the one who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to have you. Wait for the one who turns to his friends and says, "...that's her."
reading these words again tonight, i realized that they are no longer wishful words written on scrap paper in my quote folder. these words hold wisdom that i now i know to be much more than mere idealism or romantic notions.
my word to the waiting women- hold onto hope.

I love this quote. It brings back so many memories and I call myself blessed to understand what was written.
